Les Corts approve a pioneering Industrial Areas Law

Today Les Corts approved the Industrial Areas Law by 69 votes in favor and 29 votes against the   Popular Party .

The Minister of Sustainable Economy, Rafa Climent , has expressed satisfaction with the approval of said law since " industrial estates are economic infrastructures of general interest due to the employment and wealth Email Data they generate and, for the first time, a law addresses the lack of "adequate management and the lack of specific regulation of industrial areas, which are the two problems that prevent industrial areas from achieving the necessary quality and, therefore, have a negative impact on the competitiveness of the business fabric."

Climent recalled that this law responds to a historical demand from the sector and that is why this sector has been involved in its preparation , "with an extraordinary contribution from Fepeval and working from the bottom up, as this Consell does, to give real response to the needs of our industrial areas . In fact,   Climent has defined it as "a law born from consensus and pioneering . "

The counselor has highlighted that the operation of the new Industrial Areas Law will be based on cooperation between companies and administrations, especially city councils. Along these lines, he has clarified that the Consell is convinced that “cooperation is a value to be promoted, especially among companies, because we believe in it to overcome problems. For this reason, the new law facilitates mechanisms to join and develop joint actions, such as management entities, which can give a great boost to the management of industrial areas .

Fepeval describes the law as “historic, necessary, brave and pioneering”




The vote was attended by a large representation of Fepeval , the Federation of Business Estates of the Valencian Community, headed by its president, Santiago Salvador.

Salvador has described the approval of said law as " historic ", a regulation that the managers of the industrial estates had been demanding for a long time. Fepeval has thanked the parliamentary groups of the PSOE, Compromis, Podemos, Ciudadanos and 'Agermanats' for their support .

The business association has recalled that the new law is “a pioneer in the national territory and there are many Autonomous Communities that are considering its implementation . ” Furthermore, they have recalled that it is a law "necessary to put an end to the abandonment that, historically, industrial areas have suffered and a courageous regulation was required that favors their development and modernization to increase the competitiveness of the companies located there."

For Fepeval , aspects such as the creation of Management and Modernization Entities, the classification of industrial areas or the creation of the figure of strategic industrial municipality will allow increasing public-private collaboration and interest in improving the resources required by companies located there. .

In this sense, the development of emergency plans, security and surveillance services, commercial agreements, training activities, waste management, daycare centers or play centers, use of alternative energy, consultancy, corporate image or are services that lack more 90% of the polygons that can be developed with the new Law, Fepeval considered.
